Recently, I've been trying to broaden my horizons more than ever before.
I would try out popular movies and music, and watch morning dramas, and there were times when I got hooked.
I enjoy picking up books at the library just because of the cover.
It teaches us that taking a detour can lead to unexpected, good encounters.
Sometimes.

Thank you. I'm so happy to see tomorrow.
I've been able to keep walking for three whole years since I started SHOTAHIYAMA. Thank you.
I don't think I would be where I am today without the love of all of you who read this blog.

There were many happy experiences during my days making clothes.
I've met people wearing Shota Hiyama, received letters from them, seen them on TV and in magazines,
I started making clothes that I wanted to wear myself, and little by little the world around me changed, and my love for them grew.
By giving and receiving energy from everyone, I am still able to make clothes. Let's keep going.

As we embark on our fourth year, let's talk about our goals and the near future.
In fact, I am working to relocate my studio by the time the cherry blossoms bloom next year.
Until now, I had thought of the atelier as a space like a secret base,
I want to bring clothing making closer to everyday life.
After the move, I strongly hope to create a space that can be shared with many people.
I feel like that's important right now. (I'll talk more about this once everything is decided.)

Changing the subject, I went to the Osaka Expo.
There is one moving experience that has remained in my mind to this day, so I would like to write it down.
First of all, I think I am someone who values analogue sensibilities and returning to nature.
Since the birth of ipnone, I have had some doubts about the world that is overflowing with information.
It's not about technological evolution anymore, but maybe we have to go back.
There were days when I thought about things on my own, but I was impressed by the technology I encountered at the Expo.
I was moved by the coral that I saw at the Saudi Arabia Pavilion, which was created using 3D scanning technology.
The coral displayed on the wall at the end of the museum was just a figurine.
The staff said, "These are..."
It is said to be an artificial coral created to help propagate coral, which is declining due to environmental pollution.
A question ran through my head. Then it turned into !! This coral is not a figurine,
It is an artificial coral made from the same material as coral, and when placed in the sea, the coral grows stronger against the artificial coral.
It seemed like they were breeding. At that moment, I was fascinated by the evolution of technology. It was a memorable experience.
Perhaps evolution is necessary to return to a new world. The result of this progress is a return to a new world that modern people do not know.

August 2025. The photo shoot began under a clear blue sky, with the sun shining brightly. This was the 2026 Spring/Summer collection.
It was the first time the clothes I had spent six months making shone brightly, and I forgot about the scorching sun.
I just finished it as if I had just rushed through it. All I was left with was the best photos and a great tan.
September 2025. The 2026SS exhibition began with a row of samples lined up in a venue dotted with photographs.
The exhibition is like a live performance that takes place once every six months. On this day, people can see and wear the items that have been created.
Is there a sense of warmth when you touch the fabric, a sense of exhilaration when you put it on, and joy and excitement?
There is always a lingering feeling after an exhibition.
Here are some words I wrote while thinking about the 2026SS collection.
We are explorers.
He is an explorer of life, moving back and forth within the boundaries of society.
At times, I feel a sense of freedom and the sky feels close to me like a bird.
Just leave it as it is and let time take its course.

It began across the ocean in Korea.
Even before I started the brand, I had the desire to "have fun with the world through clothes."
I think it's one of the things that can connect us across language barriers.
Then, one email made my heart leap.
I immediately bought a plane ticket to Korea and went to meet the person who had emailed me.
While enjoying the delicious food, we learned about how they discovered Shota Hiyama.
Why did they see potential in our clothes? By sharing their thoughts on clothing,
I wanted to face my current feelings and walk together in an exciting direction.
No one knows what will happen from now on, but I'm happy to have been able to take on a new challenge.
MUSINSA EMPTY has started selling Shota Hiyama products.
